Deepika Padukone has been shooting with an ankle injury. The actress is just back from Delhi, after shooting for Imtiaz Ali’s next film. Now, she’s in Mumbai, shooting for Chandni Chowk to China. We spoke to Deepika Padukone’s close source.

“Before coming to Mumbai, Deepika was in Delhi with Saif for their next film, which is now over. Now she is back in Mumbai to shoot some remaining parts of Chandni Chowk to China. There are a few patch-work scenes to be shot which will take only 2-3 days.There won’t be any fight scenes considering her ankle injury as she is still in a pain. When she was injured, even Ranbir Kapoor, who was shooting for Rajkumar Santoshi’s film came from Goa to Delhi to see her. He was quite concerned about her injury.”

Our source further says, “She is still in pain after the injury. She rested for almost one week as advised by her doctor. Right now her ankle is better, but has been told to stay away from any dancing. The film shooting will end in one more week more. After 15 days she will be shooting with Akshay Kumar for a promotional song, which is planned in a big way.”

We tried to speak with Deepika Padukone, and she said, “I’m better now and I’m shooting for Chandni Chowk to China.”

After Bachna Ae Haseeno, she will be seen in Rohan Sippy’s Chandni Chowk to China, next year in January, doing some martial arts with Akshay Kumar.

Katrina Kaif has now officially replaced Aishwarya Rai as the glam-doll of Bollywood. Nakshatra jewelers have now shifted their loyalties from Ash to Katrina. Deepika Padukone brushed aside the rumors that she and Ranbir were on the verge of a split and also she cleared the air about the new rumors making the media circles that on Sunday they were getting engaged.

Deepika reported that there was n hurry for their marriage or the engagement and said that the rumor which reveals that the two are getting engaged on this Sunday was baseless.

And the most shocking statement which was revealed by her was that Deepika disclosed that she was getting miffed up with the stories which are being made on her daily and said that these all stories will affect her future children who would think that she was a Link up Girl.

Bollywood star Deepika Padukone has denied rumours of a break-up with Ranbir Kapoor , saying she was very much together with her "boyfriend" and they were currently "happy" with the relationship.

"Yes I have a boyfriend and we are happy," she said during a visit to Dubai as the brand ambassador of a real estate company.

Asked about her love life, the 22-year-old actor who has earlier been linked to Indian cricketers Yuvraj Singh and Mahendra Singh Dhoni, said as a public figure you had to learn to deal with rumours.

"There is always a lot of speculation but that is something you have to deal with. We are together and I refer to him as my boyfriend," she was quoted as saying in the Gulf News.

Deepika, who made a hugely successful Bollywood debut with director Farah Khan ’s Om Shanti Om opposite Shah Rukh Khan in 2007, is currently working on Nikhil Advani ’s Chandni Chowk To China , opposite Akshay Kumar .

She was earlier seen in a Kannada film, ’Aishwarya’ in 2006, after a successful stint as a ramp model.

    Deepika Padukone, who has won all round applause for her debutant performance in SRK starrer Om Shanti Om, was born in Denmark in 1986 to Ujjwala and Prakash Padukone, the latter, an internationally acclaimed badminton player. Deepika stepped into the glamour world as a model and later forayed into acting. She got the biggest success of her career with her Bollywood debut in 2007 with Farah Khan's Om Shanti Om opposite Shahrukh Khan.
