I came across this news on the internet today and thought to share it with you guys… it’s a little old news but still word a read…
Mumbai, The Bachchan family was really upset when the topless picture of their gorgeous daughter-in-law Aishwarya Rai Bachchan had been flashed in various TV channels, few days back.
The semi-nude photo of Ash had spread like a fire in the jungle and was highly searched on internet.
Rumours that these pictures were taken at a time when Ash was beginning her career in the Indian advertising and modelling industry have been laughed off by her friends. However the actress has taken them seriously and released a statement saying that the pictures are fabricated and that she was never involved.
Rumours are Ash shot this sensitive picture at the budding stage of her career, during the mid 90’s where she reportedly posed for a magazine along with four, five models.
The names of the models in the magazine go as Milind Soman , Madhu Sapre , Ruchi Malhotra, Aishwarya Rai, Anu Verma, Coleen Khan. Atul Karleskar had reportedly shot the picture and Micky Contractor had done the make-up.
Hubby Abhishek Bachchan is reportedly furious for making his wife’s topless picture to view publicly and he is keen to take drastic step and having a talk with his lawyers regarding this defamatory issue.

Celina Jaitley is very upbeat about her first ever item number in Ekta Kapoor’s C Kompany. She will groove with four men — Tusshar Kapoor, Mithun Chakraborty, Anupam Kher and Rajpal Yadav. It is a Punjabi dance number written, sung and composed by Anand Raj Anand and choreographed by Rajiv Goswami.
So enamored is Celina with the song that she says, “It’s a Punjabi bhangra number and I am going to dance to it at my brothers wedding soon.” While the actress is busy making wedding plans for her brother, she has also been linked with her co-star Govinda. However, Celina denies the rumours. “We are good friends and that’s all I can say. We worked together in Money Hai Toh Honey Hai and he celebrated my birthday with me. Hence, we have been linked. People have said so much about us. Now that I am doing Aditya Dutt’s Chai Garam with him, people will say we are going to have kids. I do not understand these rumours. When I did steamy scenes with Aftab Shivdasani in Red, no one linked us,” she says.
Celina has a busy year ahead. She is looking forward to Rohit Shetty’s Golmaal Returns, three films of Mukta Arts’ — Manoj Tiwari’s Hello Darling, Parritosh Painter’s Paying Guest and one more venture. Celina also has two English films Love Has No Language and Quest Of Shehzaad added to her long list of films

Watch out for the sexy siren Mallika Sherawat who made her presence felt on Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Challenge 2009.
The cast and the crew had a jolly good time witnessing the cheeky comments passed between Mallika and Himesh since both of them had done a movie together.
A unit member from the sets of the shownarrates the incident, “None of the mentors – Himesh Reshammiya, Pritam, Shankar and Aadesh Srivastava – wanted to sit with Mallika. They couldn’t ask her to sit next to Asha Bhosle who is the mahaguru in the show.
Eventually, they had to make the feisty actress sit with the participants. While all the mentors chose to behave formally with her, Himesh Reshammiya passed a lot of comments against the actress.”
But Mallika Sherawat being her in-your-face self, walked to the sets and the first thing she told Himesh was, ‘Should I expose you in front of the people?’
According to our source, Himesh looked nervous and was silent for some time after Mallika’s comment. The two have worked together in the song Mehbooba in Ram Gopal Varma Ki Aag.
But Himesh eventually took revenge by stopping a participant of his gharana from singing one of Mallika Sherawat’s songs. The insider said, “But Sukhvinder refused to listen to Himesh and sang the song.
Sukhvinder also told Mallika, ‘My parents were against my singing Bheege Honth Tere. Now, after meeting you I know why they did not want me to sing the song.’ Mallika burst out laughing.”
Mallika praised all the performers and was specially touched by Sunvinder Singh’s performance who dedicated the song “ Bheege hont tere” to her.

Bipasha Basu is known to snub the media every now and then but the latest Bips update indicates that she has started snubbing her B-town colleagues as well! Recently, Bips babe was to requested to appear as a celebrity guest for the finale of a reality show on a private channel. The actress did turn up for the shoot at Film City but when she realised that Shahid Kapur and Vidya Balan would also be featuring on the same episode of that very reality show, Bips couldn’t gulp it and left the venue in a jiffy, refusing to shoot for the episode.
The sultry Bengali beauty walked out despite being assured that she would not be sharing screen space with them as the duo were their promoting their new film, ‘Kismat Konnection’
According to reports, Bipasha had been roped in by one of the sponsors of the show and she had already agreed to feature on it but the presence of Shahid and Vidya was a problem to Bips. The director of the show had clearly told her that her shoot will be done separately but Bipasha didn’t budge and walked out of the sets.
Apparently, Bipasha claimed that since she was under a contract with Yash Raj Films for their film ‘Bachna Ae Haseeno’, she would not be able to accommodate the show.
Bipasha’s refusal to shoot left the channel and the producers in a fix as her promos were already on air. The producers then called up Yash Raj Films to check out the basis of the contract that Bips was talking about and to their surprise they found out that no such contract existed. Hence, Bips was left with no choice but to return to the sets later during the week for the shoot. Because of the utter chaos all the contestants had to be called again.
We wonder, with such a minuscule role in ‘Bachna Ae Haseeno’, can Bips even afford to have such starry airs?

Beauty is power; a smile is its sword or so, says English writer Charles Reade. How true it holds of Bollywood and its brimming population of pretty faces.

Bollywood star Sanjay Dutt and his long-time girlfriend Manyata on Monday solemnised their marriage as per Hindu rituals at a simple ceremony, four days after their secret court wedding in Goa.
Ending all speculation, Dutt (48) and Manyata Dilnasheen Amir Ahmed Sheikh (32) exchanged their nuptial vows at the bride's residence at suburban Versova.
The formal wedding was attended by close friends. However, Dutt's family members, including sisters Priya Dutt and Namrata Gaurav, were conspicuous by their absence.
After the marriage, a beaming Dutt, wearing a golden hued kurta-pyjama with a red embroidered 'chunri,' said he was very happy and thanked all his fans.
Lobbing a question at the media, Dutt asked: "Are you happy with my marriage?" On getting an affirmative reply, he thanked them and said, "I am also very happy and I thank you for the positive support."
Manyata, who appeared overwhelmed by the occasion, said, "I am so happy that I don't have words to express."
Manyata looked every inch a typical Indian bride with her forehead and her hair parting full of sindoor.
Asked about his daughter Trishala's reaction, Dutt paused and said, "She is happy."
Trishala (18) was born out of Dutt's first wife Richa Sharma, who died of cancer. She is abroad and told a TV channel "I have nothing to say."
Dutt, whose second marriage to model Rhea Pillai ended in a divorce, is now on bail pending appeal in the Supreme Court in the 1993 Mumbai blasts case.
According to industry sources, Sanjay married Manyata at a five star hotel in Goa before a registrar on February 7 under the Special Marriage Act with a few close friends as witness.
Priya Dutt said she was happy for her brother but claimed she was not aware of the marriage.

Malaika Arora Khan is hosting a reality show ‘Dhoom Macha De’ for NDTV and she is taking in all efforts to make the show appealing. Recently, she has shot a dangerous stunt for the pilot episode of the show.
Action director Ravi Dewan helped her perform the special stunt. “I was tied to a harness and lifted up in the air. After that, I twist and jump off. It was quite fun, but one has to realise these things can go wrong if not handled well. I was lucky I had professionals working with me on the team,” recalls Malaika.
Malaika’s son Arhaan too was present on the set and cheered his mom on as she performed the stunt, “He was as cool as a cucumber. In fact, after watching me do the stunt, he too wanted to try his hand at it. So we got him a mini harness and let him jump off it. I think he’s got the daredevil streak from me.”
It is clear that the lady has a thing for action and stunts. She began her Bollywood career by dancing atop a train for ‘Chaiyya Chaiyya’ in ‘Dil Se’. For ‘Om Shanti Om’, she got into a harness and jumped down a building with SRK.
The show, to be aired from February 1, will have eleven of India’s popular and professional singers. The star contestants of the show include Anaida, Baba Sehgal, Babul Supriyo, Devang Patel, Jaspinder Nirula, Jassi, Kamaal Khan, Richa Sharma, Sapna Awasthi, Suneeta Rao and Taz, who will be judged by Sharmila Tagore, Shankar Mahadevan and Prasoon Joshi.

Neetu Chandra has shot for an interesting commercial with ‘Reliance’ where she will be seen enacting four different roles- one with a typical ‘gharelu’ look, the second as a hot babe, the third in a ‘lavani’ look and the fourth one in a typical Yash Raj films’ heroine look.
Neetu Chandra is known to work hard to get into the skin of her characters. For ‘Garam Masala’ she put on a very convincing look of an air hostess. For ‘Traffic Signal’ Neetu played a ‘Kathiawadi’ girl and for the role she not just interacted with girls who sold embroidered dresses on footpath but also got a complete makeover done in terms of looks, wardrobe and accessories to suit the character.
For her forthcoming release ‘One Two Three’ which is expected to arrive in April, Neetu plays a Jat cop.

Aamir Khan developed good relations with director Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra during the shooting of ‘Rang De Basanti’. Aamir is known to be quite a considerate friend and indeed he showed his generous side recently.
It so happened that the First AD (Assistant Director) of Mehra’s forthcoming film ‘Dilli 6’ starring Abhishek Bachcna and Sonam Kapoor failed to fly to the U.S. during the shooting stint currently underway in Jaipur. Mehra was in a fix without his first AD and sought close friend Aamir’s help.
Aamir was keen to fly down to Jaipur to assist Mehra, he could not take any time out as he got caught up in the shooting of Ghajini , and his absence would upset the entire schedule of the film. So he did what could be called the second best option- he sent his wife Kiran Rao (who had previously worked as an assistant to Ashutosh Gowariker) to Mehra’s help.
Confirming this, Mehra says, “Aamir wanted to help himself, but then suggested that his wife Kiran Rao would come.”
Talking about Kiran as the AD, Mehra says, “She was a great help on the sets. She is a thorough professional and very sincere at work.

Govinda is one of the best dancers our industry has known so far. So, when this veteran dancer praises some new comer, there must be definitely something worth praising. Talking about praises, both Govinda and choreographer Ganesh Acharya were impressed by Hansikaa’s graceful dancing steps during a dance sequence being shot for ‘Money Hai To Honey Hai’. Govinda even told director Ganesh that Hansikaa’s fervor and enthusiasm reminded him of himself from his old days and it feels like she is from his school itself, when it comes to dance!!
If sources are to be believed this particular dance number exudes amazing brilliance owing to the dancing skills of Govinda and Hansikaa and their chemistry has taken the number to even greater heights.Govinda all praises for Hansikaa’s dancing skills

Sunday, January 20, saw an array of Bollywood stars on the streets of Mumbai adding glamour and glitter to the Standard Chartered Mumbai Marathon. Apart from John Abraham and Bipasha Basu, Tina Munim Ambani had gathered Arshad Warsi and Shabana Azmi and Bips to cheer for her Harmony team. Also seen was Priya Dutt among others. Milind Soman and Anil Ambani participated in the marathon.
The top spot went to Kenya’s John Kelai who was awarded the medal by yesteryear actor Vinod Khanna. The 31-year old defending champion proved a class above the rest, covering the gruelling 42-km course in two hours, 12 minutes and three seconds.

Saif Ali Khan is rocking these days, both professionally and personally. With the name of her lady love, Kareena Kapoor, tattooed on his hand (The tattoo goes Kareena in Devanagri script), Chhote Nawab has other new ventures on too. After hotting up the stage in Capital and down South in Bangalore, he has performed live at the Andheri Sports Complex on Sunday with India Rock and Roll Band, ‘Parikrama’. Saif had developed a passion for guitar and rock music at an early age of 13 when he was at the boarding school in the UK.
All the Saif-Parikrama concerts are being held in Jan and Feb 2008. Saif says, “I’ll rehearse in Alibaug. We’ll play in Mumbai, Delhi, Kolkata and Bangalore. My shootings won’t be affected because I’ll be rehearsing on the weekends. This is something I want to do. It gives me a great high to be on the stage playing and singing.”

Sherlyn Chopra who displayed her outrageous side with her music album ‘Outrageous’ is now set for a noble cause but not without her sensuous image. Yes, the gal will wield whips and chains not to realize some kinky fantasy, but to do an ad for PETA (People for Ethical Treatment of Animals).
According to PETA India’s chief functionary Anuradha Sawhney, the ad will feature Sherlyn in a Victoria’s Secret kind of outfit on a set that would resemble a bedroom. Sherlyn would wield whips and chains in the ad.
The theme of the ad, conceptualized by PETA, would be, “whips and chains should be left to the bedroom and not used on animals in circus.”
Director Rohit Shetty is quite happy and excited about his to-be-released ‘Sunday’. The structure of the film is very similar to those of the 70s where comedy, action and murder all used to happen at the same time.
In fact, the item number, in which Esha Deol has shown her sensuous side, too has a similarity to all those 70s songs. The situation is such that there is a killer, who is going to come to the disco in the night to attack a girl. It is just that ‘Sunday’ is a modernized version of this. Do we see another Helen in the making?
Gul Panag has a sensuous kissing scene with Sharman Joshi in her forthcoming ‘Hello’, but ask the gal about it and she coolly replies that she has a kissing scene in every film of hers. Be it ‘Dor’, ‘Manorama’, ‘Hello’ or her forthcoming ‘Straight’ with Vinay Pathak.
“It was Vinay’s first kiss and he was so worried,” recalls Gul adding, “but I’m professional in these matters. People say that they won’t kiss on-screen; to me that’s like joining the army and saying I won’t fire a gun.”
New Delhi, (IANS) The jinx of yearend Bollywood releases falling flat at the box office has been broken after five long years by Aamir Khan's directorial debut film "Taare Zameen Par" and Anees Bazmi's "Welcome".
Technically Anurag Kashyap's animation film "Return of Hanuman" marked the yearend. But according to trade pundits, in the multi-starrer feature films category "Taare Zameen Par" and "Welcome" raked in the moolah.
In 2002, "Kaante" and "Chalo Ishq Ladaayen" were the last releases of the year. Both turned turtle. In 2003, Rajkumar Hirani's blockbuster "Munnabhai MBBS" - the second last release of the year - sparked hope, but the year closed with "LOC: Kargil" that proved to be a dud. The end of 2004 saw biggies "Swades", "Ab Tumhare Hawale Watan Sathiyon" and "Dil Maange More" sinking without a trace, while the 2005 yearend disappointments were "Vaah! Life Ho Toh Aisi" and "Anjaane - The Unknown" and in 2006 "Bhagam Bhag" and "I See You" met with an equally sad fate.
"Taare..." narrates the story of a dyslexic child and has grossed about Rs.20 million. "Welcome" treats the audiences to a wacky comedy that loosely borrows from Hollywood caper "Mickey Blue Eyes" and has crossed the Rs.43-million mark two weeks after its release.
Film critics believe that if the content is good, the film does well, unaffected by the quarter of the year it is released in.
"I think the jinx factor is in our minds. It is an excuse. Why these films did well was because of their quality content. 'Welcome' is a perfect entertainer while 'Taare...' is an emotional one," trade analyst Taran Adarsh told IANS.
"Good content always wins. Consumers want good content, if you give them that it does not matter whether the film releases at yearend or not," added Gautam Dutt, CEO of cine media PVR Ltd.
Movie buff Ashutosh Singh agreed, saying: "To me, it doesn't makes a difference whether a movie is released in the starting, mid or end of the year. As a movie buff, if the film is good I would watch it unfazed by the time of its release."
Putting light on another facet, film critic Harish Chandra Yadav said that apart from content, marketing strategy plays a very important role in the success of a film.
"Marketing strategy and film promotion contributes largely to the success of a film. For instance, like 'Taare...', Kaushik Roy's 'Apna Aasman' was also based on a similar subject. Since he is a newcomer and because of lack of promotion, the movie went unnoticed," explained Yadav.

Mumbai, (IANS) Actor Anil Kapoor is the latest to join the list of Bollywood parents who are wary of being seen with their star children when the children make their screen debut.
Anil has turned down a chance to co-star with his daughter Sonam in her second film -Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra's much talked-about 'Dilli 6'.
'It's true Rakeysh Mehra offered me a role in 'Dilli 6', but I declined it,' Anil told IANS.
'Who wouldn't want to work with Rakeysh after 'Rang De Basanti'? Sonam is lucky to be working with him in her second film after (working with) Sanjay Leela Bhansali.'
For now, Anil has decided to stay away from offers to share screen space with his daughter. 'In fact, there have been 8-10 offers, but nothing that would tempt me into sharing space with her right away. Unless something really exceptional comes up, I wouldn't like to work with my daughter at the moment. In fact, she is opposed to it much more than I am. She feels even more strongly about it. So I'd rather wait.'
He lights up at the mention of 'Saawariya'. 'The figures have come in straight from Sony Pictures in the US. And they're very heartening. I'd have been happier if the film had done better in India. But it has done well enough.
'Sonam has been appreciated unanimously. People like Amitabh Bachchan and Dilip Kumar have praised her. Sonam couldn't have hoped for a better debut. I'm very proud of my daughter. She has a long way to go. I think her second film is as exciting, if not more.'
Added Sonam: 'I've shot twice with my father and have done an AIDS feature. He was more worried about me than himself throughout the shoot. So, I don't think it's fair to him to have me as a co-star. Right now, I am too raw to remove my father from the character he'd play with me.
'Besides, I wouldn't want to play all and sundry characters with him. It has to be something special for both of us. But if he produces a film that has a role for both of us, I'd definitely want to do it because he produces only quality-conscious products.'
In the past, Dimple Kapadia had said no to Bhansali's 'Khamoshi - The Musical' with daughter Twinkle. Dharmendra agreed to play Sunny and Bobby Deol's father in 'Apne' after so many decades in the industry. Dharmendra played Sunny's dad in his second film 'Sunny', but they didn't have any scenes together.

Jiah Khan is all excited about her photoshoot for the denim brand Wrangler with the Bollywood hunk John Abraham. These days Jiah is all praises for John and praises his performance in ‘Jism’ saying “He was so intense and good in that role. I think that’s his best performance.”
She is really looking forward to working with John, “We will be shooting the ad in the next few days. I think it should be fun.”
Talking about praises, Jiah also has reasons to praise Aamir Khan while she is busy with his ‘Ghajini’. She says, “It’s fantastic being around him, as there’s so much to learn. Everyone finds him intense, but he can be very warm. He gives you complete attention.”

Neha Dhupia had enough releases in 2007 and she has even more to expect from 2008. 2007 saw her in an item number in ‘Nehle Pe Dehla’, with substantial roles in ‘Delhi Hieghts’, ‘Ek Chaalis Ki Last Local’, ‘Shootout At Lokhandwala’, ‘Dus Kahaniyan’ and a special appearance in ‘Heyy Babyy’.
2008 too will see a similar trend for Neha with her ‘Rama Rama Kya Hai Dramaa’ hitting the theatres on 18th January. Her next ‘Mithya’ is set for 8th February release which also stars Naseruddin Shah, Ranvir Shorey, Harsh Chhaya, Saurabh Shukla and Vinay Pathak.
Directed by Shivam Nair (Ahista Ahista fame), her expected next release is ‘Chala Murari Murder Karne’. This was earlier titled ‘Maharathi’ and also boasts of a heavy weight star cast comprising of Naseruddin Shah, Om Puri, Paresh Rawal and Boman Irani.
Another big venture from Neha to hit theatres on 15th August will be Anees Bazmee’s eagerly awaited ‘Singh is King’ starring Akshay Kumar, Katrina Kaif, Javed Jaffrey, Ranvir Shorey and Om Puri along with Neha.
Neha is also busy with her sole female lead role in Saurabh Shukla directed ‘I AM 24’. An Arindam Chaudhri production, the film stars Neha along with Ranvir Shorey, Rajat Kapoor, Vijay Raaz, Lilette Dubey, Delnaz Paul and Manjari Phadnis.
With all these in her kitty, the lady is surely glowing these days!
